It is Japan’s most famous car meet, held every Friday and Saturday night on the Shuto Expressway — and with a guided JDM tour, you can experience it without a car.
What Is Daikoku PA?
Daikoku Parking Area is a highway rest stop on the Yokohama Bayshore Route of the Shuto Expressway, roughly 30 minutes from central Tokyo. Every weekend night, hundreds of Japan’s most iconic sports cars gather: Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32, R33, R34), Toyota Supra, Mazda RX-7, Honda NSX, and more. The atmosphere is electric — engine sounds, modified exhausts, and enthusiasts from all over Japan and the world walking between cars.
Can Tourists Visit Daikoku PA Without a Car?
Yes — but only via a guided tour, because Daikoku PA is on a toll expressway with no train or bus access. Daikoku Tour by Samurai Car Japan JDM runs private English-guided tours every Friday and Saturday night, departing from Yokohama Station or with hotel pickup from central Tokyo.
